Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I we review Movies, Create Podcasts, and share our love of movies with you! Enjoy

Steve Jobs

I think that it is only fitting that I write this review on my IMac. Steve Jobs the genius of our generation and finally gets a film tribute that is almost as brilliant as the man himself.

This Steve Jobs biopic (not to be confused with Jobs with Ashton Kutcher) revolves around three long scenes where we follow Jobs just minutes before he goes on stage to unveil Apple’s new products for that year (1984, 1988, 1998).  The movie is heavily dialog driven and fairly self-contained. For this story to work it needs to be brilliantly acted, beautifully written and expertly directed; I am happy to report it delivers on all accounts.

Steve Jobs is one of those movies that film nerds will droll over and writing teachers will study for years to come. Aaron Sorkin’s style drips from this movie and creates a fast paced dialog between characters that you will leave wanting more. I think the highlight of this film is Michael Fassbender’s performance as Jobs, he captures almost perfectly the simultaneous narcissism and charisma that made Jobs one of the most inflectional person of the computer generation. It takes a special actor to make you feel so conflicted between love and loathing but that is how you will feel when the credits finally role.

I hate to be negative about this film because I enjoyed it so much, but it is very wordy and seems like it may be a touch long for people not used to Sorkin’s writing style.  I also would have loved to see the invention of the IPod or IPhone but I guess I can always hope for a sequel…

Overall I think this is a movie you need to see as soon as you can! I am going to rank this:

4 out of 5 IPod Shuffles

Spectre

The Man from U.N.C.L.E
